This is a 3-unit basic and comprehensive course to be offered in all undergraduate programs in the University System. The course is a peace-inaction or action-based discipline for which a holistic, multi-, and trans-disciplinary approach is adopted. It intends to produce students who are peace-loving, change accelerators or agents of positive change, peace advocates champions, and builders of a culture of peace.

A systematic study of the foreign policy of the Philippines. Emphasis will be placed on the economic, social and political factors affecting Philippine foreign relations with major regional and global groupings. The course is designed to evaluate how the Philippines play its role in the international arena and analyze the programs of the Philippines vis-à-vis the world order.
This is an introduction to the theories and principles of public policy and design. It includes the study of the background, procedures, dynamics and application of public policy and its impact on the society. This course further examines various approaches to the study of policy design, policy processes with cybernetics and evaluation, and policy analysis by considering the concepts, tools, and methods used in economics, political science, behavioral sciences, and other disciplines. Students apply and critique these approaches through case studies of current public policy problems.

This course is designed for undergraduate students who are taking up the field of Southeast Asian Political System. The course will tackle the diverse and dynamic region of Southeast Asia, focusing on the political systems of 11 states in the region. Using comparative analysis as a tool and as a method, students are expected to look into the variables that constitute the Southeast Asian region. Over the past several decades the region has seen the rise and fall of authoritarian regimes, democratization, economic boom and bust and the prevalence of identity-based conflict of Southeast Asian countries thus, this course begins with the background information of the region followed by the themes of colonialism, independence and attainment of democracy.

Beyond exposing the student to the world outside the Philippines, it seeks to inculcate a sense of global citizenship and global ethical responsibility.
