This course offers an in-depth introduction to modern political theories and ideologies. The course will also examine the five (5) periods: Rationality and Enlightenment, Revolutionary Thoughts, The Rise of the Masses, Clash of Ideologies, and Postwar Politics and their transitions to modernity by studying the works and contributions of the notable political philosophers. Finally, this course will examine a number of the contours of these changes, contrasts them with classical and medieval thought, and explores the various directions in which modern thought has led.
