The lecture and laboratory components of this course will explore the general principles of the patterns of inheritance, variation of Mendel’s themes, cytogenetics, mutation, nature of genes, chromosomal theory, linkage, quantitative genetics, population genetics, human genetics, evolutionary genetics, molecular basis of inheritance, recombinant DNA and genetic engineering and biometrical procedures.
