This course is an introduction to the principal concepts, issues and theoretical debates within the field of International Relations. Topics covered include: theories in IR, security and securitisation, war, great power politics and human rights. Upon completion of the course, students should have a good basic understanding of international relations and a solid foundation for taking upper-level courses on the subject.
