This is a foundational course that is designed to introduce students of political science with different theoretical approaches and perspectives in understanding the ‘political’ aspect of social realities. The focus of the course will be on various analytical strategies in understanding complex political phenomena that are taking place in both domestic and international arena. Moreover, this course includes brief introduction to basic methods of research so that students will be aided to scrutinise political realities and processes either in theoretical or empirical grounds. The learnings derived by students in this course is necessary to prepare them to take up higher political science courses.
