Special Topics and Accounting Updates II is a course intended to update the students to any updates in accounting standards and practices associated with Financial Accounting and Reporting. This course also serves as review class to aid the students to prepare for the CPA Licensure Examination. Topics include cash and cash equivalents, receivables, inventory, biological assets, investments in financial instrument and property, property, plant and equipment, intangible assets, wasting assets, short and long-term liabilities and shareholders' equity. It include accounting for special topics such as leases (PFRS 16), accounting for income taxes (PAS 12) and Employee Benefit (Pas19 Revised). The 54-hour class is expected to last up until the end of the first 9 weeks from when the class begins however, any in-progress requirements and unaccomplished ones, can still be completed until the end of the 1st semester.
