This is a 3-unit course designed to equip future teachers with necessary principles in the development, and utilization of conventional and innovative assessment tools. In principle, it deals with measurement and assessment of students’ learning outcomes such as test construction, item analysis, and interpretation of test scores. For the development and application of assessment tools, the course exposes students to the standard steps (validation and reliability) in test construction. Emphasis is also given in the application of grading systems based on the DepEd Policy Guidelines.
