The lecture and laboratory components of this
course will introduce the most relevant and basic concepts, methods and tools
used in Bioinformatics. These include databases, sequence and structure
alignment, protein structure prediction, protein folding, protein-protein
interaction, Monte-Carlo simulation and molecular dynamics. It emphasizes on
understanding concepts and underlying algorithms.
