The National Service Training Program is based on Republic Act 9163 or the National Service Training Program Act which was signed into law in 2001. This program seeks to promote civic consciousness among the youth and develop their physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual and social well-being. It also inculcates in the youth “patriotism, nationalism, and advance their involvement in public and civic affairs”.
