This course is designed to equip future teachers with necessary concepts, principles, development and utilization of conventional and innovative assessment tools to improve the teaching-learning process. In concept, it deals with measurement and assessment of students’ learning outcomes such as test construction and interpretation of test scores. In development and application of assessment tools, as it exposes students to standard steps in test construction and the application in grading systems. Emphasis is also given to the use of assessment of, as, and for, in measuring knowledge, comprehension and other thinking skills in the cognitive, psychomotor or affective domains.
